The Games Den Story
Hello and welcome to The Games Den. We’re Pete and Mel – a husband and wife team striving to make a difference in the world of gaming.
We also believe that there’s a better way to sell games. One where we don’t just focus on selling you stuff but provide you with valuable content and information that makes you a better gamer, a better painter or just better entertained! That’s why our motto is…
It's more than just a hobby.
The Games Den opened its doors in Leamington Spa in May 2016 with its focus centred on the local community, providing a wide range of board games, tabletop and card games for sale alongside comfortable space for gaming.
In 2020 we (Pete and Mel) took over the business, which proved to be a busy year for the shop and not just for the obvious challenges that we all endured. With the first nationwide lockdown nearing an end, we expanded the range to include Games Workshop products and started running Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age Of Sigmar events. Then, towards the end of 2020 we started work on a brand new design for The Games Den, renovating the shop and getting the website ready for a 2021 relaunch.
Alongside the relaunch, we took the opportunity to drastically expand the range of games, tools and paints that we sell. We pride ourselves on providing you with the best choice and the best tools with which to enjoy your hobby.
So, if you browse the online store or come and see us in Leamington Spa, you’ll have no problems finding what you’re looking for, whatever your gaming passion. From Games Workshop releases at up to 20% off, to Magic The Gathering and Pokemon. From a wide range of miniature paints and brushes to role playing games (and not just Dungeons & Dragons!). And of course we have our infamous library of board games to play in store, rent or buy.
If you want to come by our shop and play a game or two with us then you can find us here. And if there’s anything you’re after that we don’t stock then please drop us a line at email@example.com and we’ll gladly help find whatever you need.
It's not just about the gaming for us though.
We want to do our part to help the environment.
We’re also passionate about the planet and the importance of doing as much as possible to protect future generations. That is why social and environmental responsibility is a crucial part of our operations and why we are constantly looking at ways in which we can improve in how The Games Den is run.
Over the past 4 years we have:
- Changed all our shipping packaging to compostable or recyclable materials
- Introduced a plastic sprue recycling service for Games Workshop plastic waste
- Carbon offset all the emissions associated with any product deliveries from The Games Den.
