The Games Den is a family-run business based in Leamington Spa, built around a passion for trading cards, collectibles, board and tabletop games as well as the communities that make them so much fun.

Since Pete and Mel took over the business in 2020, they’ve transformed The Games Den from a small shop in Leamington’s Old Town into a thriving destination in the heart of the town centre, with an ever-expanding range of products and events.

Today, the online store focuses on sports and hobby boxes, trading cards and collectibles, alongside tickets for the events that run at the shop throughout the year.

The physical store remains the place to come and play, trade, discover something new and meet fellow hobbyists. Stocking stock a huge range of board games, tabletop games, TCGs, Games Workshop products, miniature paints and hobby supplies, with regular events for Pokémon, Magic The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Warhammer, Riftbound, Gundam, Lorcana, Cyberpunk and more.
Whether you're looking for your next sports hobby box, the latest trading card release, an event ticket or simply somewhere to enjoy your hobby, The Games Den is here for you, online and in store!

The Games Den is proud to be have Magic The Gathering tier 6 status as well as being an official Pokémon League store, giving the local community access to regular organised play, tournaments and special events.
This year The Games Den also became part of the Upper Deck Diamond Dealer network, bringing authentic Upper Deck sports cards and hobby boxes to UK collectors.

Pete McLaurin

Welcome to our shop!  I'm the co-owner of The Games Den with my amazing partner-in-crime, both in life and in business, Mel.  Arguably the brains and vision behind it all, but at the very least I'm the idea generator! It all began during the pandemic, when I took up a childhood hobby of painting miniatures again and realised how much I enjoyed it and wanted to improve what we had locally.

Mel and I bought the business in 2020 and have expanded over the past 6 years to offer a full range of TCG's, sports cards, board games, Warhammer, paints & tools, accessories and more. It's been a labour of love, as well as bringing many dark nights of the soul as those that watch my regular videos on our social channels can attest! Running a small business is not for the feint hearted, but one of the many things that keeps us going is the amazing community of people we have met, the loyal customers and gamers who come week on week to play in our events, as well as the amazing support from family and friends.

If you see me in the shop please do say 'Hi'.  Nothing brings me more joy than meeting our customers and sharing stories about gaming, collecting and life!

Mel Skellon

Co-owner, Creative Director, and Designer. I'm the creative one ensuring the shop, website, social posts and everything else has style! I'm also the reality checker, acting as a filter for all the ideas Pete fires at me (and believe me when I say this is a daily task!) As well as raising our 2 boys, themselves both keen Pokemon and Warhammer and players, I love nothing more than a game of Splendor Duel with some great vinyl on the turntable. If you're a Radiohead fan then we're going to get on just great!
